The well-established Swordfish ‘Edge” Paper Trimmers, have been designed with precision and safety in mind. Their versatility finds uses for arts, craft and hobbies as well as for business use. They have become a firm favourite in homes, schools, offices. If a trimmer is to work effectively, it must be rigid. The “Edge” series trimmers meet this requirement by combining a strong steel base with a heavy-gauge aluminium guide rail and screwed construction. This solid engineering enables them to produce a clean cut through up to 10 sheets of the 80gsm paper that is widely used throughout the UK. The Edge-320 is the smaller model of the two and is the ideal size for A4 sheets of paper, thin card or photographs up to a maximum of 1.0mm thick. The Edge-450 has a similar specification but its 450mm bed makes it the right size for trimming A3 paper. Both machines are equally suited to either left-handed or right-handed operation.

The strong metal bases of both the A4 and A3 models are printed with a comprehensive selection of useful guidelines to help paper alignment for accuracy of cut, to minimise mistakes and prevent wastage. In addition to horizontal and vertical scales, in both millimetres and inches, there are guidelines for the common paper sizes A5, A4 and A3, as well as the popular photograph sizes of 7x10cm, 9x13cm, 10x15cm (equivalent to 6”x4”) and 13x8cm (equivalent to 7”x5”). These trimmers are also marked with angle guides from 0º to 45º in 5º increments.
